Founded in 1994, FIT supports the creation and development of new businesses in the canton of Vaud and in Western Switzerland.

The two types of financial support, FIT TECH and FIT DIGITAL, are respectively open to innovative technological start-ups and digital start-ups with an innovative business model and strong growth potential. In 2022, FIT supported 44 projects for a total amount of 6.25 million Swiss francs.

Deeplight and ProSeed each receive CHF 100,000 from FIT

Deeplight designs the next generation of integrated photonic lasers for the telecoms and sensing markets and has received a Tech Seed loan from the Foundation for Technological Innovation (FIT) to enhance the robustness of its lasers. ProSeed upcycles brewing by-products into valuable raw materials for the production of food ingredients. With the FIT FoodTech loan, the start-up aims to optimise its technology and extend its market reach.

FIT Impact supports six social and environmental impact projects

The first cohort to benefit from FIT Impact is now known. This programme run by the Foundation for Technological Innovation (FIT) and supporting low-tech projects with a strong social and environmental impact, has awarded grants of 10,000 Swiss francs to ATIPIKEY, Impact Arti, NaviSanté, R.Unit, R2Home and thego.care. The six projects come from UNIL, HEIG-VD, H4 and EPFL.
