Founded in 1994, FIT supports the creation and development of new businesses in the canton of Vaud and in Western Switzerland.

FIT provides support through several programmes:

  • FIT Tech, for high-tech start-ups,
  • FIT Digital, for digital start-ups with an innovative business model and strong growth potential,
  • FIT Food & Hospitality Vertical, for projects in the field of nutrition and hospitality,
  • FIT Impact, for high-impact low-tech projects.
In 2024, FIT supported 49 projects for a total amount of 6.445 million Swiss francs.

SurfAce Cleantech gets a Tech Seed loan and Healio, Nextrainers and Sharelock three Digital Grants

SurfAce Cleantech is reinventing compostable packaging and has been awarded a CHF 100,000 Tech Seed loan from FIT. Three other innovations each receive a CHF 20,000 Digital Grant, with their own specific objectives: simplifying healthcare staff planning at Healio, generating a football training session in less than a minute for Nextrainers, and structuring and analysing Due Digilence flows thanks to Sharelock.

Omnitone, WWW and Red Drop receive FIT Impact grants

These three new projects from ECAL and H4 have each been awarded a FIT Impact grant of 10,000 Swiss francs. Omnitone develops sustainable, repairable, upgradeable and recyclable speakers. WWW (women work wear) designs workwear by and for women. Red Drop offers home self-sampling kits that use menstrual blood to obtain health information and receive healthcare support.
